"IN LOVING MEMORY of my mother who in 1994 helped
me decorate a small bottle for my home."
That small bottle soon became an oil lamp when Connie
discovered that by drilling a hole in the center of the
large bead and the many brass pieces and inserting a wick,
she would be able to create a unique, truly original oil
lamp. This was the birth of Connie Sicotte Designs.
In 1997, as the business began to grow, Connie's son Kurt
joined his mother and grandmother and in 2001, after her
mother passed away from Lou Gehrig's Disease, her brother
Larry joined the team. Today, the three of them continue
to hand craft all of Connie's designs in their shop in
Sarasota, Florida. To quote Connie, "My mother and
I never planned on going into business, it just sort of
happened.
It's been the most exciting, rewarding years of my life."
Today Connie's oil lamps are sold across the United States,
Canada, Mexico, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. You
will find true quality in these lamps. They have been built
to last a lifetime. |
